The origin of Vietnamese Teacher’s Day
About the origins of Vietnam Teachers’ Day, the International Union of Education Unions was a global group of progressive educators founded in Paris (France) in July 1946. (FISE). This group created a Charter of Teachers in 1949 at a meeting in the Polish capital. The Vietnam Education Union joined this global religious organization in July 1953.

The FISE conference, at which the Vietnam Education Union took part, was held in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, from August 26 to August 30, 1975. The conference voted to designate November 20 as International Teachers’ Charter Day in 1958, thereby giving the date its current name. From that time, November 20 became a traditional day for the Vietnamese Department Of Education.
The meaning of Vietnamese Teacher’s Day
Vietnamese Teacher’s Day is a day that teachers in personal and people who have huge contributions to the Vietnamese Educational Sector, in particular, be glorified and tributed.
Generations of children now stand a chance to publicly thank their teachers on this special day. On November 20, the students brought heartfelt gifts and beautiful bouquets to the teachers and verbally expressed their gratitude.
